Webinar Teaches You How To Publish A Kindle Book: Be Ready For Amazon’s Fire Tablet Release On 11/15

As many of you know, our General Manager here at indieKindle is April L. Hamilton, the Founder / Editor in Chief of Publetariat, and the woman who literally wrote the book on self-publishing: The Indie Author Guide. April has considerable experience and expertise with Kindle books, and one of the major strengths of her book is her ability to offer clear, thorough, plain English instruction in how to tackle virtually all aspects of indie authorship.

Now that ebooks have become the standard market entry point for indie authors and small imprints, many are viewing Amazon’s announcement of its Fire tablet as a book launch opportunity that’s not to be missed. Yet, in this economy, there are few who can easily afford the hundreds of dollars it typically costs to pay for Kindle book formatting and conversion services. They feel a sense of urgency to get their books published, but also a sense of necessity to keep costs to a minimum.

With this in mind, April is offering a Simplified Kindle Publishing: Step By Step webinar, at a price of just $24.99. From April:

In this webinar you can get plain English instructions in: how to get your manuscript properly formatted to meet Amazon’s Kindle specifications, convert it to Kindle format using free conversion tools, preview the resulting Kindle book (with or without a Kindle) and what to do if there are problems in the file when you preview it.

This presentation is similar to the one I gave at the Writer’s Digest Business of Getting Published conference earlier this year, but its content has been revised, simplified and brought totally up to date. If
you’ve got intermediate or better Word skills (can apply paragraph formatting, know how to use Styles, know how to insert a Table of
Contents), you can do this!

The 90-minute webinar will include approximately 60 minutes of instruction followed by a 30-minute Q&A, and attendees will also be given access to a free, pdf download of the entire presentation. This webinar will be held on Sunday, October 9 from 4-5:30pm PST (7-8:30pm EST).

You can register for the Simplified Kindle Publishing Workshop here. Don’t delay, as registration is limited. For those who can’t attend at the scheduled time, a recording of the webinar will be made available at a discounted price after the presentation.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
The instruction given in the Kindle Publishing webinar will be specific to Windows PC users, please do not register for it if you are a Mac or
Linux user.

This is the second webinar in a series April is offering, and the foundation of the series is a monthly, free, open self-publishing Q&A. You can register for the first free Q&A session, to be held October 2, here. More training workshop webinars are in the works, including Getting Started With Author Platform, Getting Started With Social Media, and Low- and No-Cost Book Marketing Opportunities. Details will be posted on April’s Indie Author Blog and on The Indie Author Guide Facebook Fan Page Events tab as details become available.
